Hi Guys,
Anybody know what is going on here. I am talking about the blank spots in the graph. This is a CCR 1016. I am pretty sure its false ie No traffic for a second here and there.

Here is another picture. It is an interface traffic graph using Winbox

If it’s disconnected so at least it must be ZERO.
Did you check the logs? anything special?
no nothing in logs. Agree its not disconnecting as there would be at least a zero reading. Its like the trace is missing a beat now and again. The router is not under any load CPU is around the 5% mark. Have tried from different PC’s and they all show the same thing.
hmmm, you should call support. did you ticket them? If not, so you should be
Maybe they will ask you such question:
Do you have any real problem? ![]()
any packet lost?
After I recieved a few reports of high latency and confirmation from the Backhaul provider that all was ok I took the reluctant decision to reboot the CCR. The result was an Instant fix and an instant speed boost. as you can see below the graphing is back to the way it should be. So the statement that you never need to reboot linux is just a myth. I am a little concerned at how better the CCR is performng after a reboot. I would expect his from a home router, not a Carrier class device. Do I now need to consider a scheduled reboot to keep the CCR in top performance???

As far as know, I saw some MT’s product which was working for 1 year without any reboot. I don’t know how they re working!
For my RB450G I just know after days of working without any shutdown or reboot I just see little CPU load in SPI (increase about %5).
