I have a RB450 with ROS3.10 and have updated firmware
I have two ports being used, eth1 eth2.
eth1 is internet with global ip and eth2 is lan with 192 address
ip firewall conn tracking on / nat rule for masquerade srcnat internal network to internet
Everything works but when any machine on the inside downloads from the internet (web/ftp etc) it goes fast (>1000K/s) for about a second and each second thereafter the throughput drops drastically until about 3 seconds later the connection resets and game over. Try again, same thing - over and over. Different machines, different protocols etc. Bypass router it works fine.
I’ve never seen this yet, I have supout and will send it in a moment to support. Just curious if anyone has experienced this before and what the resolution was. Thanks.

I took another new RB450 I had in the office and setup simple LAN/WAN NAT router and hooked my laptop behind it. About 50% of the time doing large downloads (I was testing with 60mb file) it aborts and says the connection was reset. This is the same problem at my customer site although their problem is worse because they have more going on network-wise.
In both cases bypassing the router made the problem go away.
Same RB450 ROS 3.10 / fw 2.15

Is there anyone that can take a RB450 and setup two interfaces - internal and external with NAT and run some large file transfer tests? I’ve had the same problem with two differnet 450’s so I’m guessing its reproducible. I used a 60mb file.
While transferring the xfer stops with browser connection reset problem. Happens not every time but should at least once out of 10 tests - more likely less than 5.
Any test results (positive or negative) would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Scott
