what can be done to improve RSRQ and SINR

Good morning,

I have just installed a LHG LTE kit in a rural area. I know signal is not he best here.
Is there any thing I can do to improve my connection?

RSSI and RSRP is in the excellent range but RSRQ SINR unfortunately not so much.

I believe it is most likely tower and other environmental factors, just hoping there is something in the settings that I can do to improve my experience.

Thanks

RSRQ (and consequently SINR) could indeed be better. Low RSRQ may indicate interference from other cell towers. If those are in same direction as your serving cell, then you can’t do anything. If tce interferring cells are not in the same direction, then you might be able to improve RSRQ by changing direction of your antenna. Sometimes turning your antenna towards cell tower, which otherwise doesn’t provide best RSRP (but is still decent … anything higher than around -85dBm is decent), improves RSRQ enough to get better service.

When turning antenna around also consider carrier aggregation … when both network and your terminal use multiple cells to provide service. Those secondary services may be considerably worse than the “serving” cell, but still contribute notable to overal throughput. And by turning antenna to get best RSRQ/SINR of serving cell you are likely affecting those secondary cells as well.
