Will be doubling the traffic on it in the coming month. Its currently running around 150mbps of internet traffic for about 150 devices (all these are wireless APs, so total devices making TCP/UDP connections is more like 1,000)
It is very simply setup. There are about 10 VLANS and each has their own subnet+public ip to keep things clean, P2P block, and some basic forwarding for devices on our internal Lan IPs.
Will be making it about 15-20 VLANS with a similar topography. The RB1100ah is about 2 years old.
I doubt we need to actually upgrade it as they are robust. Its running v6 without a huckup yet.
Wondering if a CC router may be better for my usage, and if so,
what is similar to the 1100ah:
what is 2x more powerful:
if the proc in the 1100AH is better for this type of traffic, or if the multi core CC routers are indeed better at this type of traffic?
I think it should be a 16 core or 36 core CCR for this replacement, but I personally would be
waiting until the RouterOS v. 7.x is released and stable.
