What chip info says?

What's new in v2.8.17:

*) added - report Atheros chip info;

That’s nice but what does this mean:
chip-info=“mac:0x4/0x2, phy:0x30, a5:0x17, a2:0x0, eeprom:0x3002”

Do you add this for easy bug reporting? 8)

PS: I saw a better timeings and greater througput than 2.8.16, which was the best till today in my opinion :slight_smile:

I’ve just upgraded from .16 to .17 on our lab test p-p rig.
Short range throughput the same or very marginally better using 2.8.17 over .16 at just a few m. Does it improve it on longer links, I wonder?

“Info” aids debugging I guess, as you suggest ASM
