What does A mean in hotspot?

In Winbox, when I looks at IP—>Hotspot—>Hosts, I usually see letters as AD,AH,D,H, P but today I notice that there is A only beside my Mac Address. I know that AD mean authorize access and user has specify IP address . AH authorize access and user get his ip frp DHCP. I used to get AD since I also specify my IP but today I get A only.

I recall getting that if the ip was assigned by “FRAMED-IP-ADDRESS” from a radius login response. And as I recall from your setup, that is what you use to assign your ip, which is assigned as static in the computer if I remember correctly. That probably indicates that your previous dhcp lease (3 days) has expired also. I could be wrong…

ADD: I could be wrong about this also. The release of the ip from the dhcp lease means that ip (192.168.1.50) is available to lease to some other client. That should have armed the ‘duplicate ip error’ bomb you have set up. Tick…tick…tick…tick…

The detonation of the bomb, if the hotspot service is as predictable as it has been in the past, will be indicated by “configuration error” on your login page. That is the error I get if the hotspot cannot do what the radius server told it to do.

And may I also be so bold as to predict the time of the explosion. Saturday night 8pm on a holiday weekend.
