What enables the wireless-fp package?

What enables the wireless-fp package in the 6.31 version?

Did you install wirless-fp package?
Go to System - packages and see there.

No, I want to know what enables this package in version 6.31 as it has 3 wireless files in this version.

You can enable it and disable the other 2 packages if you are install them all. Or you can install only the wireless-fp package.

file “wireless” provide support for cards atheros and prism
file “wireless-cm2” provide support for CAPSMAN2
file “wireless-fp” ??? i do not know.

This is what I got when reading this forum:
wireless - oldest package, discontinued?
wireless-fp - new legacy package compared to previous has improved wireless driver, “wireless fast path” mode
wireless-cm2 - CAPsMAN v2 support plus also has some improvements for newer 802.11ac and other improvements (optimisations and fine-tuning)

In general wireless-cm2 should be used if possible.

Install only selected individual packages you want. Do not use combined package.
