We run a trials MT x86 router on part of our network and it was rock solid up to v3.13.
Although it is part of our wider network, this is a trials system. We have u/g’ded as each new version has come out. All these u/gs after 3.13 worked fine for a few days and then the hotspots all stopped working. A reinstall of the HTML fixed things for a few more days, and then the logins failed again.
Then when we did the u/g to 3.20 everything stopped working. Rollbacks to previous versions didn’t help at all. We tried everything - incl complete re-config from scratch - but nothing worked after the u/g to 3.20.
Tonight we rolled the router back to 3.13 and restored from an appropriate backup, and voila everything works fine again.
What have we missed? There must have been a major change after 3.13 which means that after upgrades, we shouldn’t be pulling in the config backup from the previous running version.
Can someone tell us wht we have missed.
