Hi,
I want to link to buildings together on same network.
The buildings are about 300 meters from each other.
What is best device to use?
I have the option for SXT G 2HnD or SEXTANT G-5HPnD
I want to highest linkspeed.

As cluttered as the 2ghz band is I would use the SEXTANT G 5HPnD
Ok thanks,
And that is only because de 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz?
If I have to choose between SXT and SEXTANT both 5Ghz what is the best choice?
At 300m either one will work just fine for you.
At 300M I think a big risk will be too much power
While this may point to most people using the SXTG I personally would use the Sextant G for this job. As long as a link is point to point better to use the antenna rather than just pumping massively more power out through the system.
Also with the higher gain antenna in the Sextant G the beam spread is smaller so will pick up fewer errant signals from off axis to the installation.
When you install it turn on advanced mode and TX-Power, go all rates fixed and set the power level at both ends until signal strength is between -60dBm and -70 dBm (prefer-60 - -62) and run a btest over the link and check that you get CCQ of 90% or above.
You should be able to get 300Mbps/300Mbps radio rate across a 300meter link without problems and if the radios are aligned dead on and power turned down you should have a lovely stable connection.
Others may be able to help more.

Alexander
Thanks a lot, I wil place the Sextand and do as you told me.
Great help. THANKS>
