What is everybody using for AP SM combos?

We’re a Canopy network using Mikrotik as core routers, but we recently starting using RB711’s as backhauls and have been highly impressed with them. So we’re thinking about migrating outside of Canopy for our access points and Subscribers and are looking at MT and another brand to run some tests on.

I’d like some input on what you are using for radios and antennas. What type of distances you are acheiving with them and how well that work in noisy environments. If using dual polarity 5.8s will they perform through some trees or is line of site still needed? Any other advice or problems you’ve experienced along the way would be helpful.

Thanks

I’m from Paland so I’m using polish or czech antennas.

Distances - from 100m(small panels) to 25km(big dishes), depending on antenna. I’m not recomending links through the trees, LOS gives you greater certainty for a good, stable link.
There are many problems with WiFi. Read this forum, or try ask.

according to high gain antennas - dishes for different applications( mimo, dual etc) good choise are antennas from Cyberbajt, expecialy for dual applications where besides gain SLL, VSWR isolation is a significant aspect.
