What is the benefits of defconf-bridge in new type mikrotik router.
It’s a must for CRS3xx.
Configuration is slightly more readable (subject to personal preferences) and uniform across all devices running ROS.
There are drawbacks though (mostly due to the fact that non-trivial tasks are not offloaded to underlying hardware on all models but CRS3xx)…
BTW, it’s not about new types of devices, it’s about ROS version 6.41 and newer … if you upgrade ancient device to modern ROS and perform factory reset, you’ll have modern bridge as well.
