Well, In order to connect 2 routers you must follow this -

2 home use routers can be connected….

But you’ve to turn off DHCP client from one of the routers to avoid IP assigning clashes.

After you turn off or disable the DHCP client, your router acts like a repeater or a extender..

And what is the best method for that?

Plug one ethernet cable into a port on one router and plug the other end of the ethernet cable on the other router.
Suggesting dedicated port on one of the routers so that it matches the subnet of the other routers network.
If its over some distance and not colocated then use EOIP to accomplish same.

The exact same question has been asked & solved in this thread just a couple of minutes ago.

Nothing is exactly the same. The point being the more vague the set of requirements the wider and less specific answers can be.

use a switch…cheaper. But, if you want a second Router, just connect the WAN to a LAN making sure you use a different IP address setup. Then follow basic router rules.

Sorry I laughed. that is exactly what came to my mind on reading the subject, even before got to the actuall post itself…

It is not the same, I have 2 router but in different City, I want to connect them by WAN.
