I want to work Internet Wireless network covers an area of 10 square kilometers
What that SXT Sixpack or Metal 5SHPn or what is better?
How many pieces needed؟
SXT sixpack has all parts included. Antenna is built in, and AP is provided. Also the SXT has dual polarity antennas (two chains)
RB Metal doesn’t have an antenna included, so you can choose your own type of antenna. It has one chain only. It has a more durable metal case.
Thanks for helping me
I chose SXT,I think I must chose Antena largest What is appropriate for the size of 10 square meters kilometers
If you chose SXT Sixpack, all antennas are built in, you don’t need any separate antennas.
How many SXT Sixpack I need?
One SXT Sixpack contains Five CPE devices and one AP.
Distance from SXT client device to OmniTik AP can be around 10Km maximum.
Your requirements are not clear. What are you trying to connect? What devices are the clients? Are they apartment buildings, cafes, what exactly?
I have seen this picture maybe similar
Type of mobile devices, desktop computer, laptop, targeted apartments and villas
And The SXT Sikspak will be an outdoor temperature of 40 C.
In this case, SXT Sixpack may not be the right choice. If your aim is to connect mobile devices and laptops, then consider this:
- most of them don’t support 5GHz, only 2GHz
- You don’t need SXT CPE devices at all, you need many APs
How are the APs going to be connected to the internet? Do you have ethernet available for every AP, or you will need to interconnect them wirelessly?
How are the APs going to be connected to the internet?
wireless
Do you have ethernet available for every AP
no
or you will need to interconnect them wirelessly?
yes I need interconnect them wirelessly
In this case, I recommend you to use RB Metal 2 and interconnect them with WDS. This will allow laptops to connect to the RB Metal access points, and the RB Metal devices will connect to eachother with WDS technology. RB Metal 2 would need to be put in wds-static-mesh mode, WDS interface needs to be created on each RB Metal 2
