What is the pwr-line1 interface on mAP 2nd and how to use it?

Hi, I’ve uploaded RouterOS 7, I haven’t noticed on version 6, but I’ve never had a deep look.
What is for? I suppose it’s transmission over power cable, but which ones? On the jack connector? It’s a bit strange to see it, maybe an error of OS7?
Thanks

Hi,

Interface is via the usb port (maybe not usb mode though), it can be used with their power line products
eg. PL6400

Hidden feature, that micro-USB port can also be used to provide power to another device.

European version is discontinued, and no direct link on the MT harware pages: https://mikrotik.com/product/pwr_line_eu

Used in combination with mAP Lite, mAP, hAP lite, hAP lite TC, and the other end of the powerline can also be combined device Mikrotik PL6411-2nD (again only US version on MT site)
Interesting router/repeater/ethernet-wifi converter directly in the power outlet

The newer Powerline product https://mikrotik.com/product/pl7510gi , alredy discontinued, is not a RouterOS product, and is very hard to manage. The advantage here is the higher speed, and the MT compatible PoE.

All of the MT powerlines are outperformed by classical powerline products.
However we keep PL6411-2ND and PL7510gi + hAP ac2) in use, as they bring some compact specific solution. Distributors still sell them.

Just power, or is it USB OTG (USB controller) ?

Both.
I already tested connecting a flash drive using the provided USB to-go cable and it worked.
I think ??? May have to test again…

Edit:
It will work.
