What is the USB Port on the LU009 Used For?

Can anyone tell me what the USB port on my LU009 is used for?

Thanks,

another version, maybe updated more often

https://help.mikrotik.com/docs/display/ROS/USB+Features

USB Sticks for container store, general storage, Dude Storage
Ethernet Adapters (some): Additional ethernet port
Serial port adapters (some): Terminal access, Remote Serial port facility
Discontinued Woobm (wireless USB serial port) was kind of good could get you out of trouble when you locked yourself out.
3G/4G/LTe modems (Some): backup internet, Some can be used for SMS send/receive.
Mobile Phones (Some, USB Tethering): backup internet
USB Hubs

Thank you for your answers! Sounds like it does a lot of things. For me I was hoping I could use it for terminal access, i.e. using PuTTY or the like. I have been trying to figure out how to change the address range of the DHCP Server to 10.10.0.10-10.10.0.254. Every time I try I get kicked out of WinBox and end up resetting the router etc. A real pain in the neck.

So maybe the better question is how I can change the DHCP Server to a different address range. I am using the bridge interface and have tried creating a new interface etc. But with no luck. There has to be a simple way to do this (I hope).

Thanks,
Doug

Use Winbox MAC access to connect and change such things. Then you will not get kicked out.

Or remove 1 ether port from bridge and use that one to connect your PC (using Winbox Mac access  ).
Whatever you do then with bridge or VLAN or … you will not get kicked out anymore.

Yes you can! If you have USB serial adapter you can access the console via the USB port. I use two USB to RS-232 cables with an adapter connecting the RS-232 ends to connect to my devices that don’t have a console port.

:bulb: L009 has dedicated console port..
