What is Wireless Test Package?

I see there is a wireless test package in the download page for rc7. Any one know what this is?

This is the major rewrite of parts of the wireless support that should increase the speed of CPU challenged boards (lower speed boards). This should increase regular wireless up to 25% and should increase Nstreme up to 50% or more…

This has allot of low level optimizations. We will leave this as a test package for a couple of months and then put it in the main distribution.

Uldis will post a paper with some test statistics showing speeds.
