What kind of CPU usage are people seeing with Hotspot?

I have a Via 533mhz Mikrotik handling Hotspot for about 100 users on a decent bandwidth network. CPU usage has been hovering between 50% & 75%, depending on time of day. It seems this is rather high - is there any way to tell what specific functionality is taking up the CPU time (a ‘top’ command or such)?

I know the 533mhz CPU isn’t terribly powerful, and per-user tracking of stats probably takes a good deal of time, but when we were doing P2P labeling & such of the same userbase (without Hotspot) the usage was only 5%-10%.

I’m running a similar platform, Via C3@533 and seeing about 5-10% with 45-50 users. This is just with hotspot, no p2p mangling. The traffic is rather light and there’s not much p2p going on.

the more mangling and rules the more processor speed you are going to need.
