Can someone give me some advice regarding the Mikrotik OmniTik UPA-5HnD fand RB750UP POE output ?
Basicly i want to know what NEW unifi access point the OmniTik UPA-5HnD fand RB750UP can power with theirs POE ports?
I found on internet this info: http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:PoE-Out
but it OUT OFF DATE, i need to know if they can support the new Access points, cameras etc.
Being exac i need to know if they can power PicoStationM2HP (unifi) and Outdoor Plus, but if you know others would be great.
I just need quick reference, without need to calculate do calculus/math.
The omnitik or the RB750UP can be used for POE but not for heavy peripherals.
The voltage of the power supply may not be adapted to the peripherals.
As an example: a 24 volt power supply connected to the omnitik give remains 24 volt.
I do not recommend connect cameras to the omnitik
Unifi may be connected, but on a 24-28 volt power supply.
I suggest to build heavier cables on the omnitik U-5HnD built The POE is much stronger.
See picture how to do https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/80075511/IMG_3769.JPG
What do u men solder the heavier cable? for what what is the purpose for it? it will work with ubiquiti outdoor pluse? how many of them this can power? be specific.
After soldering the joining wire the result relies on the cables, their length, connectors, power supply used and powered devices themselves. Use the best components and try it. It should work.
