Hello everyone,
I have to build a new wifi for a Customer and he want a guest wifi with internet access only + an internal wifi with internet access and devices + fileserver wifi. He also need those 2 wifi to get repeated on the second floor of the building and I thought to use a RB2011UiAS-2HnD-IN as main WIFI AP.
Now, I don’t know if that’s the right choice and don’t know what to use as repeater (i need 1 repeater for both wifi? or 2 repeater?).
Anyone has some advice?
Thanks.
The speed matters and you have not mentioned any performance relevant constraints. Connect the second device with wire and avoid repeating.
Thanks for your answer.
The speed matters but the internal wifi is used only for printing purpose from mobile devices, so even if the wifi could result slow is not a problem, as long as is stable.
Sadly, wire connection is not a possible option.
In this case you can use two rb941. It will be cheapest way to proof your concept and then you will know if you need to upgrade something in order to get better results or if it will be enough from the beginning.
Thanks.
I just don’t get 1 thing: use 2 rb941, each one to repeat one of the 2 wifi (ssid) configured on the main RB2011 OR just use those 2 without the RB2011?
Option 2 first. Option 1 in second step if needed.
