What To Choose From RouterBoard ??

Hello ,

I have an Internet Cafe and I found that MikroTik boards suits my demands for everything in network so I wanted to buy a router board and Install RouterOs on it , But the problem is I don’t know what product to choose

What do I need to use on RouterOs are :

1-Hotspot
2-Bandwidth Control
3-Mac Filtering
4-Outdoor access point that supports Router Board with a large area (5Ghz)
5-Load Balancing

Or anything that needs for an Internet Cafe .

Anyone can help ?

1, 2, 3, 5 - all routerboards can do that
4 - Omnitik is the best solution if you want just 5gHz access

What kind of uplink(s) do you have?

So does RB750GL works for me with Omnitik ?

What do you mean by “uplink” ?

I have 2 ADSL 4MB and 2MB with different ISPs if you mean it by the “uplink” (PPPoE)

Omnitik has several ethernet ports so you can connect it straight to your two ADSL uplinks. If the distance to ADSL is long then you can use RB750GL together with Omnitik.

So if I get Omnitik I do not need any other stuff right ?

What do I really want is to make an Outdoor connection for my Internet cafe (AP) and use Hotspot and Bandwidth control on it , not sure if I can also control the Internet Cafe bandwidth also.

And the reason I choose 5Ghz Cause my country doesn’t allow 2.4Ghz

I’m not sure weather 2.4Ghz is better than 5Ghz or worse cause I need to use a single AP for a big distance.

There will be 40-50 Meters Distance between the Internet Cafe or the router to the AP

If you get Omnitik and two UTP cables 40-50m each, you don’t need anything else. If you want to connect some computers inside your cafe, then you need one more router, let’s say 750GL and just one 40-50m cable to the Omnitik.
