hii all

i hav got a job in my hand..i hav got a contract to create a point to point wirless link(5GHZ)

Demands:

  1. the wirless link should hav a troughput of 15-20 mpbs.

Challenges and Limitations:

1.The air distnace between two link is 8 Km.
2.I can only use RB433/433AH. i can use R52H, seano 8601, or Uquibity SR5. 29 Dbi grid (5 ghz)
3. i cant place the RB more then 100 feet both sides. but LOS is very much clear.

Problems

  1. i hav already given the quation so i cant change the hardware.
  2. i was assure that above hardware is suficient enough to achive 15-20 mpbs throughput.
  3. But my mikrotik resller told me that i cant achieve more then 11-12 mbps in mikrotik with this hardware.

So, is it possible to achive 15-20 Mbps with RB433/433AH and SR5, R52H or senao 8601 cards.

its like dream comes true..i hav just posted this thread and my god..i got a fast response, and importanly by you..i m overwhelmed..

anyways..i just simply use parabolic 5 ghz grid antenna.

R52 or UBNT cards should work good, make sure to select a frequency that is not used in that area, first use Snooper to find out the best Freq. This will reduce noise. Experiment with polarization also. Make sure the antenna cable is good, and not longer than ~3m.
