Hi, when set up the ppp profile, the default one has a name *FFFFFFFE. Why the default name is not “default” but “*FFFFFFFE”?

Could you post your configuration as the default and default-encrypt profiles are included with the RouterOS operating system and cannot be removed, only disabled. It looks like something has gone wrong with your defaults.
I’ve only seen this referenced as an interface if the IP you are checking a route for is local to the router when one runs the command /ip route check x.x.x.x
