What's the OmniTik max throughput? Surveillance cams system

Hi there,

I’m planning to install an IP cam surveillance system in a gated community where I’m already providing 15mbps internet connection. The surveillance system will demand 65mbps when at peak plus 15mbps of internet.
The gated community is composed by 25 houses with SXT Lite, pppoe authentication, very short distance (300m radius), -117db noise level, very stable connection with some stations at -45dB and others at -65dB, low noise -117dB, TX Power at 5dBm, 5Ghz-N, MCS15, CCQ arroung 90%, Tx/Rx Frames and Hw Frames almost equal for all stations, WMM enabled, VoIP running smooth. I’ll use the houses as hosts for the cameras, max 3 cams per house (4 mbps).

Will the OmniTik be capable of handling 80mbps in this environment?

Thank you so much plisken, it’s a good beggining for me!

As I could see you have tested the OmniTik with only one SXT CPE, I have 25 CPEs. Also, reaching 117mbps in half duplex is fantastic, but how about running in full duplex?
I also have other concerns regarding CPU usage and how long the Omnitik could sustain the link speed, in my case should be 24/7.
Could you provide a bit more information?

You can always use a device with larger cpu range. like the 2011 series.
So match devices on 1 Mikrotik i have not that experience.

..or simply 2x Omnitik : you can balance band/cpu among them and also design a failover schema (in case of one Omnitik death or a simple maintenance). All this with a simple +1 Omnitik cost …
