What's the PPPoE client throughput of various routerboards? Does fasttrack work with PPPoE connections?

I am currently evaluating the performance of a CCR1016-12S-1S+ as a PPPoE-Client using a single session and doing some simple IPv4-NAT. No queues or anything fancy.

  1. Looking at the numbers regarding routing performance on http://routerboard.com/CCR1016-12S-1Splus I expected some serious throughput in the multiple gigabits. But, unfortunately I only managed about 500 Mbit/s of throughput. Apart from maybe some hints on where to look to improve that, I am looking for some “official” numbers on PPPoE throughput of the various boards.

  2. Secondly I am wondering if the fastrack feature does even work with PPPoE?
