How is it possibe that in the same scan list I have two times the same ssid rsnX.
I have two different AP routers, in each of tham I have 3 wireless mini pci cards, until now I had no problem, sinde 3 days ago I get to see two time the same ssid, as you can see in this case rsnX, also since than my ping with the stations that are connected especially in rsnX goes high.
I have tried to chande the frequency or the SSID and the same thing keeps happening.
Please tell me what to do ?
AB R 00:02:29:06:68:83 rsnXXX 5ghz 5180 -23
AB R 00:02:6F:45:E1:76 rsnX 5ghz 5240 -79
AB R 00:0E:8E:12:67:E0 kerkiB 5ghz 5260 -60
AB R 00:02:6F:45:E1:76 rsnX 5ghz 5280 -29
AB R 00:02:6F:45:E1:83 rsnXX 5ghz 5300 -29
AB R 00:0E:8E:13:AD:C7 flesh 5ghz 5320 -47
What did you change? Or is this just the first time you see it?
Anyway, I have had the same,
Omni antenna fit close against a mast, default power in a close proximity range situation.
Solution: Degrease power output untill just enough for most distant station or fit the antenna further away from the mast.
The distant ´station´ unit sees one AP radio twice. But as you see only one of the two has a good ´reciept´, the other is rather bad. The ´station´ radio is still able two make a connection to both of connections. A ping package send to the other radio has now two routes to travel but since this is to one and the same IP/mac address the return also probably comes back via the two connections. This give confusing pings with collisions and therefore poor or failing ping times.
If you cannot change any of the settings I advice you can also start working with the ´connect´ list in the station. Switch default auth. off in the wireless settings of the radio and in the connect list let your troubled radio make contact with the mac of the AP you want only, with the proper frequency and SSID set and with a minimum signal strength for the radio under which he will not connect to such weaker signal. I would set this then somewhere in between the two different readings, but closer to the strongest signal. (in your case I would set -40dbm)
I hope this give you enough way to try to solve your problem.
