When we can expect full functionality of AC products?

Hey guys,

can someone from Mikrotik support give us an estimation when we can expect the not yet finished features like current tx power readings, spectral scan, frequency scan crashes, channel usage crashes etc. to be finished so we can use those devices like we were used to with the N chipsets? Any plans for further improvement of the NV2 protocol? Checking every day the RC changelog, unfortunately nothing related to wireless…

Thanks!

What’s new in 6.21rc22 (2014-Oct-24 10:29):

*) wireless - fixed scanning tool crash for 802.11ac interfaces
*) wireless - fixed Nv2 kernel panic on 802.11ac interfaces

yep, just seen it, will be testing over the weekend

Still in V6.21.1 the spectral scan doesnt work

on long 10+km link with other interferencing devices we have noting better with AC then with previous generation of N equipment
even worce, AC have same troughput with nstreme like previous generation but with nstreame instability and recconections
with nv2 we have stable link but 30-40% less bandwidth than nstreme
so for now conclusion is next
with nv2 in congested area we have twice worse results with new AC devices than previous N devices
not 10% not 20% DOUBLE

If a hardware has no such capability - it will not work. Current 802.11ac products do not have spectral scan capabilities in them.
