MikroTik/RouterBoard needs to offer a multi-port GigE router with fast CPU and USB port to monitor APC UPS status.
We would have been buying the RB1100U if MikroTik had included a USB port.
Lastly, if you guys would add one or two SFP ports for fiber modules that would even be better!

Does it really make a difference to add up a fibre module. i dont understand how cld it really help. Neways there r so much fibre racks etc in our NOC. Why so much integration to make one device all complicated and added load on its CPU
Absolutely! There have been many cases where we need to run fiber within a building due to distance limitations of copper Ethernet. Adding a SFP port (or two) would be a great addition to the RB1100 or the next high end RouterBoard. Sub $100 managed switches now even include SFP ports. Can’t be a cost issue…
