Waiting for the successor to the Mikrotik CCR2216 https://mikrotik.com/product/ccr2216_1g_12xs_2xq router, when do we expect to see one?

We need something with 32GB memory please and need something that can finally take on Juniper MX204 head on

This year? next year? Never?

Why?

A 32GB CCR2216 would not compete with an MX204 "head on". Different price points, architectures, markets.

Are you hoping that Mikrotik might somehow sell a Juniper MX204 clone for peanuts?

I have no use for that router, it seemed designed for their VERY specific customers and not the general public

16 x 10G RJ45 on a router in 2026???
