Hello,
Where did the CRS226-24G-2S+RM disappear from the routerboard.com website, and also from mikrotik.com/products/ ?

But seems replaced by CRS326-24G-2S+RM: https://routerboard.com/CRS326-24G-2SplusRM
I thought so, but why would you replace that switch with something that has the exact same performance, but without an LCD screen?
Because it has newer generation switch CPU and faster Management CPU. On CRS326 all SFP+ interfaces can be used in 1G mode if required. CRS226 supports SFP only in port SFP+1.
But CRS326:
It looks like downgrade… I know price is lower and considering price drop vs features difference I’d say LCD and config storage may not be really worth additional 50% to price (199$ vs 299$ iirc) but idk… It doesn’t feel as nice as old one did :C I don’t like color and lack of LCD. It’s like
CRS226:

CRS326:

I know grey one is cheaper and functionally the same but fuck this, I want white toilet paper with LCD even if I have to pay premium! Bc it’s nice touch
Yes. Disappointing 16MByte Flash in $200 RouterOS device with 512MByte RAM. Such small amount of Flash were in ten year old RB133c rev B.
Yes I know that CRS326 is a smart switch under control of SwOS or RouterOS system, but for upgrading 10MByte RouterOS file at least so many free MBytes necessary. I’ve made screenshot from one of hAP lite. Current size of routeros-smips-6.39.2.npk is 7,382,015 bytes.

the 800mhz cpu suppose to be faster if you choose routeros and do routing.
i know CRS series are meant for switching. and there’s no coincidence in why mikrotik posted switching scalability numbers to routerboard.com.
i use crs125 often as a scaled-up replacement for RB2011: same cpu, same performance + more ports
It is still white, Lapsio, don’t worry ![]()
I don’t know where you got grey color from. Maybe the picture has a different shadow.
Now I’m 100% convinced to get one
Besides - why 16mb flash? I mean it’s understandable in those 19.99 routers like hAP lite, mini,mAP etc. But why CRS326? Why hEX, why PowerBox or OmniTik. Why all new devices that are not RB2011/RB3011/RB1100/CCR have 16mb flash? Is cost reduction really THAT high? You could at least give microSD slots to all of them if you really NEED to reduce costs that badly. Not that buying dozen of 1gb microSD 2$ each is awesome solution… (bc it’s quite hard to get smaller ones nowadays and even if they are available they’re not cheaper than 1gb)
And microSD is hassle with ROS bc I’m using one in CCR and support is not nice. Formatting is unresponsive, card is randomly not detected or takes ages to appear under ROS. It sucks. And iirc ROS doesn’t allow booting MetaRouter from microSD. It’s just fuckup after fuckup.
It looks like the page https://cloudcorerouter.com/ has not been updated for a long time. There are many models missing … Can you please add them?
I add to the query. Is the 16Mb flash really good for new models? It looks like all the new models are “low cost”
