Which 10Gb adapter for server connected to CRS326

Hello,

I am having problems connecting a server to CRS326 over fiber. I started with an original Intel X520-DA1 and CSS326 with FS modules but obtained a countinous link flapping.
Changed CSS with CRS326 and modules with 10Gtek ones obtaining a stable link at 1Gb but constant flapping at 10Gb.
Now I am questioning the Intel adapter and thought to adopt another brand.
Do you have some positive experience to share in this scenario? Someone succeeded to connect a server to SFP+ ports via fiber (not DAC) and with which adapter?
I was looking at Mellanox connectx-3, but I would like to collect some feedback before proceeding.

Thanks for any feedback

Intel server cards like the DA520 require Intel chipped optical SFPs or coaxial DACs.

If you are using generic SFPs (either optical or DAC), they must be chipped for Intel on the NIC side.

The CRS326 will use a generic SFP without issue.

Thanks for your answer.
Indeed I used optics chipped for Intel. I verified module information on the server side and it shows as Intel FTLX8571D3BCVIT1 so it should be working. Anyway this confirms that this adapter is quite “picky” about the module. Being the original ones too expensive compared to the adapter itself, I am thinking to change the adapter brand with one more “flexible”.
I hope that someone can share some positive experience with other brands.

Regards, Paolo
