Hello,
Netpower16P datasheet mentions “316W max power consumption”.
Which available power supply would you recommend to get a 150W, 200W or more total output PoE (802.3af/at) budget ?
If I’m not mistaken, largest current Mikrotik 48V power supply only provides 96W which means less than 6W per Netpower16P port.
Searching the net for 48V/5A/240W power supply do not provide many entries.
Best regards
There are a LOT of options… Traco, Meanwell, Delta are quite common and you can buy din-mount so you could for example have a AC-DC 48volt PSU mounted beside a 48volt to 24volt DC-DC converter for a tidy setup that will be feed the NetPower with multiple voltages.
Thank you @nz_monkey for the tip:
I ordered a Meanwel 48v, 240W DIN-mount power supply and will test it soon.
By the way, has anyone ever tried to “split” the output of such power supply for several devices ?
On one hand DIN-mount power supplies are quite compact and dedicating one for each device makes sense.
On the other hand, maybe using some sort of DIN-mountable fuse box also make sense when the number of devices increases (4 or 6, for instance) in low voltage context (12 Vdc).
Thoughts ?
