hi,
i want to setup a Point to MultiPoint network with a max distance covering 4 kms with max of 25 clients.
I plan to use one Sector antenna with 14dBi MIMO attach it to a Routerboard.
My question is which routerboard will serve the purpose well giving good speeds… and also which Radio card should I use for a 25 client load.
On the client side I plan to put RB-SXT 5.
Inputs appreciated.

I have something similar like u distance up to 3.5 km
for distance like 4km try to find something like 18-20dbl Sector
and for clients(>2km) I suggest u to use this One SXT 5HPnD
on this setup my clients signals are from -62 up to -68 distance 2.8km-3.5km
u can use 433AH,411AH,RB711… go for something with >=680Mhz CPU
I can see ur long time on this forum so u have bit experience
as u know u have million variates of RBs all depend what u need(USB, more CPU power, more Slots, gbit Lan, more memory)

actually what you say is true that there are lot of variants in routerboard. it is like you go for shopping and have so many choices that you start getting confused.
i am looking for a routerboard with 680MHz but at the same time good RAM (loads of it) and tested platform will be highly time saving for me.
i am not an ISP and hence cannot keep experementing so i proceed with caution.
