Which Cable should be used to connect

I want to connect Mikrotik RB333 to my LAN via POE .Pls Let me know which cable to be used either cross or straight from Mikrotik to POE and from POE to my LAN .

Use cable needed for proper connection. It dies not mater for PoE, as PoE works on both staight or crossed cables.

Mikrotik auto senses and will work well regardless which cable you choose. It’s MDI / MDX as needed, automatically, no configuration needed.

Mine don’t autosense, crossroads, 333, 600, 411, and 433.

As for crossover with POE, doesn’t matter. POE uses 4578, which stay the same, cross or straight.

Mikrotik RB 333 has 3 10/100 Mbps MDI/MDX autosense ethernet interfaces.
If you don’t trust my experience, read the manual!

Yep, that’s what the manual says, but alas..doesn’t always obtain.

I’ve had scenarios where straight and only straight will work and situations where cross and only cross does the trick - 600, 532, 133. Can’t say why.

The only way to know for sure is to crimp both and try them out.

All of the Routerboards (the ones I have used) are all auto mdi/x. If it doesn’t work then your NIC isn’t agreeing with that of the Routerboard’s.

Note that Cisco interfaces don’t agree very well with the Routerboard’s interfaces (you’ll want to disable auto negotiation and manually set it to 10 or 100 full duplex
