when video is transmitted in one direction and camera control commands in the opposite direction, which end should be programmed as ‘station’ and which the ‘bridge’? What about for multiple jumps? e.g. –
video tower (---------) repeater tower (-------) home control
should one radio card on the repeater be ‘station’ and the other ‘bridge’?

The internet (or main network) end should be the ap-bridge, and the remote (camera) end should be the station. The station can make only one connection to an ap-bridge, but the ap-bridge can have several stations connected simultaneously.
The repeater tower should have the radio for the camera set to ap-bridge (or bridge if only one station expected), and the radio towards the “home” should be a station.
