Which hardware for Fiber 175/175 with QOS

Hi, I’m currently using a RB750GL to handle my 175/175 PPPOE Fiber connection. Without packet marking and Queues, my the RB750GL CPU choke the connection to about 140/140 (CPU 100%). With a couple rules to put the priority on VOIP traffic, the speed is reduced to 100/80.

I’m now looking for a new board that won’t limit my ISP speed. Should I wait CCR 1009 or it will be overkill for my setup? will the upcoming RB953GS-5HnT or even current RB2011iL-IN or RB951G-2HnD be enough for my needs. I’m looking for a future proof solution.

thanks in advance

You need to look at the RB1100AHx2

I guess I’ll wait for MUM in two days to see what will be the price of the upcoming CCR 1009, my guess is that it will be in the same range as the RB1100AHx2 and if so I could see it replace that model.

This Ukraine website suggest that the RB1100AHx2 will be discontinued. The also list the CCR 1009 so I guess they are up to date.

And what you really think is this telling you? You are underperformed and not only a little bit
as I see it right!

  • RB1100AHx2 would be great but as I see it EoL (End of Live or End of Sale)
  • CCR1009 will be also a right oriented choice to handle this load
  • RB450G with installed asterisk VOIP PBX in metarouter would also march right, but also EoL
  • The RB450G replacement will be a very good balanced choice if you mean the CCR1009 is to big
it is called RB850Gx2 and it will have 512MB NAND also.
