Which interface for static ARP in bridged network?
You should set up the static ARP entry to point to the bridge interface itself, not the interface that is in the bridge.
Be adviced that there is a bug up to the current version, 2.9.24, that does not make static ARP entries effective on a bridge interface after a reboot. When you reboot, you need to disable and re-enable the static ARP entries before they will be effective. I already sent this to Mikrotik, they acknowledged and reproduced the problem, and they tell me it will be fixed in the next version.
That mean it is NOT POSSIBLE to set up static arp on Mikrotik? Simplest low quality routers offer MAC and IP pairing but on MT I have to worry that after power failure my network can be unusable?
I have 20 routers, most without UPS.
Cool, yeah
