Where are you based? The maximum EIRP has a huge bearing on what you can achieve and this differs depending on local regulations.
For example if you’re based in Europe 2.4GHz won’t work beyond around 10Km because EIRP is restricted to 100mW (20dBi), but in the USA maximum EIRP is 36dbi so you can go much further.
Use RB532 or RB532A for Pt2Pt and APs, use RB133C for CPE. You can get away with low power wireless cards for most Pt2Pt links as you’re better off using high gain antennae. You might need the higher power cards on APs where Omni antennae have much lower gain, alternatively use multiple sector antennae with low power wireless cards.
