Which routerboard for managing Caps and speed

Hi

I have a wireless network set up and need to manage each persons download/upload speed as well as data caps per month. I’ve asked my supplier and apparently the 250GS will do this, but didn’t want to buy the incorrect hardware. Can this do it or should I be looking at something like the routerboard 750. I don’t believe that I’ll require gigabit, so it’s really just about setting it up to manage bandwidth and caps.

If this question has been posted elsewhere, apologies as I couldn’t find the answer and would appreciate it if you could point me to the relevant post if it exists.

The 250GS is a switch, not a router.

Go for something like the 450G. Maybe you can get away with something cheaper, but it’s still a cheap device - and if you need to rely on it working having a serial port can save you a lot of headache.
