I am turning to you for assistance with Virtual WiFi Interface settings on Wifiwave2 driver.
My opinion till now was, that settings which im allowed to change in Virtual WiFi Interface are independent from Main Interface. Of course, parameters like band, channel, frequency are clear to me, they are “linked” to main interface.
But what about advanced parameters like DTIM interval, Beacon, or for instance PMKID in security settings ?
The question stems from the situation, that im using separate 2.4Ghz Virtual AP for my IoT network, master 2.4Ghz/5Ghz interfaces are for the “Main WiFi”. Lot of settings are between those networks different (like the mentioned DTIM interval), but i dont have the opportunity to clarify those settings (if you have some SW recommendations for that, please share it). Since one client device (iPhone 13 PRO) had issues on MAIN network, i find out after debugging that PMKID or eventually FT is the source of those issues. So for start i disabled PMKID on MAIN network. Since ive done that, one device (AC unit) from “Virtual” IoT network is constantly disconnecting/reconnecting after couple of minutes, even if PMKID (and globally everything other) on this interface/this configuration/this security settings remained untouched. I believe that despite the possibility to modify this settings individually on all interfaces, this feature is shared !
Do have maybe some knowledge, informations, documentations about described settings, or some recommendations how can i check on client side which parameters the network really has ?
