Why can't my RouterBoard scan my network's SSID??!?

Hi,

Please send help!

I’m trying to setup my routerboard as a CPE client device to act as a range extender for my home wifi. I’ve tried both the wizard (ie QuickSet) and manual setups, but each time when the routerboard tries scanning for wireless networks it never seems to find mine. It finds plenty of other SSIDs, but not mine.

My router doesn’t have a hidden SSID, has only 2.4GHz b/g/n (ie 5GHz is turned off) and is currently sat about 1metre away from the routerboard. When I hit scan on the routerboard I get a bunch of networks (one from across the street!) but not mine (wildsquirrel)

When scanning for networks from my laptop (about 1.5 metres away from the router) I can see my network (and am connected to it now )

Why-oh-why can’t my routerboard see my wifi?!? :frowning:

What country did you set ? No_country_set ? You have something like default (=USA?) frequency limitation then.Would be OK for channel 13 (2472), but other regions have other limitations.
Otherwise the speed is high (195 Mbps). Is this Channel 13+14 (40 MHz wide) ? Channel 14 is out of reach!
Did you limit the scan list?
