Why Hotspot locked me out?

Hi guys. so i was testing hotspot with http-chap. changing some html files in that,… i logged out/logged in a lot of times for that matter. everything was working fine till i decided for the last time, i test login/logout page. i logged out, and that was it. hotspot basically denied all access, even dns. no login page, no ping, no nothing. but it was only this client. other clients was able to access just fine. there was nothing in the log file and i have no firewall rule that would do such a thing. the hotspot settings are also very normal. nothing special about it, except that all the traffic from hotspot comes from a switch so it cant see the real MAC address of the clients and only the MAC address of the switch. also there is no one-to-one NAT.
After restarting the router from another client, it all went back to normal. so my question is why did that happen? is there some sort of built-in security in place? I am worried that it happens again after i put that in production environment.
PS: the ROS version is 5.5

Thanks in advance

What was your shared user set to under your profiles? Default is 1, if it was set to that, that means only one person can be signed in under a given account at any given time. If the logout procedure didn’t fully work for whatever reason that would explain your problem.

Hey. thanks for your reply
Yes. it is set to 1. but if even my logout procedure didn’t work, i should have still had access to dns, login page. Nothing was working from my client, yet other clients did not affect by this. i even restarted my client to make sure its not client side, but only after restarting the router, dns/loginpage came back.
ps: also the only login method that is enabled is http-chap

Another thing that i can think of is that most of the time when i did logout, winbox was open causing terminating the session abnormally. could it be the cause of that? too many winbox sessions?
