Why is a l2tp rename in server side?

Hi everyone,

I have some l2tp vpn connected between a server and remotes stations, his names are: VPNABC, VPNDEF, etc.

Sometimes when l2tp is back after down , at server side (only) this vpn is rename by rather (his original name). Why this happens?

i think that’s a normal dynamic behavior since you didn’t put your l2tp clients as static.

for every dynamic interface links (such as pptp, pppoe etc) you will have that behavior.

BTW, How Can I configure l2tp clients as static? (in order to l2tp client name don’t change).
