why ROS 5.7 only support one port of 82571GB

i checked all topics .

found same problem on 2006.

http://forum.mikrotik.com/t/intel-pro-1000-pt-dual-port-server-adapter/7059/1

Here is what I’ve found for Intel DUAL port Server Adapter PRO/1000MT

  1. You can only use 1 port for GIGABIT
  2. If you plug both port into Gigabit swicth, then speed down to 100 Mbps or stuck ( both port not working ).
  3. This is happen NOT only in MikroTik, but also in FreeBSD

My suggestion :

  1. DON’T BUY DUAL PORT INTEL SERVER ADAPTOR ( refund if you can and get exchange to 1 port )
  2. Get 1 port Intel Server Adaptor

So.. since I can’t refund the dual port, I use DUAL port with 1 port only for Gigabit connection

That’s from my experience… hope this help

no one reslove it ?

If you have any problems with ethernet interfaces not recognized in RouterOS, generate and send supout.rif file to support@mikrotik.com
http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:Support_Output_File

I have same problem about this card .

Correct Hardware Information

Intel PRO/1000 MT Dual Port Server Adapter
USE Intel 82546 Gigabit Controller
Intel Order Code : PWLA8492MT

I have 2 this card in one X86 server , ROS 5.7 mark them from ether3 to ether6 .

IF I config IP address only at ONE of Adapter with 2 Port (Ex ether3 and Ether4) . I got only ether3 can work . and if I also set IP at another Adapter port in my sever (Ex ether 5 and ether 6) , only ether6 can work . So I just can use ether3 and ether6 , not all 4 port can be use . And I try to connect with RB450G with ether3 + ether6 . I got only 100M access , not 1G .

Just Notice Intel product URL :
http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/network-adapters/gigabit-network-adapters/pro-1000-mt-dp.html

I am resurrecting this thread, since I am interested in one of these cards (Intel order code: PWLA8492MT)

4 years have passed and v6.33.3 is the latest RouterOS…
So… is there any progress regarding this card?
In other words: is it fully supported now?
