Why tool traceroute limited to 14 hops?

In the case where you thought it was limited to 14 hops, were the last 5 timeouts too?

You add max-hops=30 if you want to go that far. Maybe after 5 timeouts it auto stops, don’t know.

Then I think you have your answer, it probably doesn’t go beyond 5 timeout lines.

I have no idea why the developers of the ROS did this. It is probably very alternatively gifted people.
