Why use user manager over hotspot

I am testing Mikrotik’s hotspot feature. So far I foresee that all our organisation’s needs are served by hotspot without having to use user-manager.

The biggest advantage of user manager, that I can see, is splitting up mikrotik administration (winbox) and hotspot-user administration (web-browser), and the ability to batch-create users/vouchers. Other than that, everything I need to do now is served by hotspot.

Besides the above points, what can user manager do that hotspot cannot?

To me the bigger benefit would be that users can create their own account/voucher paid/free and more easily maintain their account.
