Wi-Fi Certification

Mikrotik is not a certified Wi-Fi company?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Start to understand why my WD Live TV Player, doesn’t work with my Mikrotik product…

Yes, but this certification has only one benefit - using the WiFi sticker on the products. This does not affect functionality or regulations.

Both devices are 802.11 compliant, so they should work fine together. Please don’t mix up 802.11 and WiFi. The WiFi certificate is purely for marketing. MikroTik products have all the requirements of such certification.

Seems that “sticker” really works… i have 5 routers at my house… 4 of them were from my isp, they are really cheap router with wifi sticker on it, and my wd device work without a problem… now that i have a so called mikrotik professional product without a stupid “wifi certification sticker”, my wd device cannot connect to my wireless network…

Please provide some more info, and I can guarantee that we can fix it, or at least find the real reason of problem. Post output of this command in your mikrotik router: “/export compact”

Even Apple’s latest Airport doesn’t have Wifi certification. Maybe that’s why I have lots of problems with Apple and Wifi

Are you sure? Apple products use to show up on the Wi-Fi Alliance website with a delay of a month or so.

If you search for Apple products you will find the brand new Express, which is the one you are talking about, I think

Vdias please, mikrotik is a professional 80211 product and not a simple plug and play wifi router. you would need a little understanding of the product to make it work in your scenario. if you ask nicely I am sure you will get assistance

My wife is not certified mad, but she is
