Hi i want to connect 2 Points together but the distance is quite small with the googlemaps-distance-calculator i have 0.401 mile or 0.646 km. Is for such a small distance a system like the following OK or should i try something else ?
Sender/(Uploader) RB/711-5Hn
Receiver RB/711-5Hn (same like Sender)
after some days of searching, reading, comparing, etc. i decided to buy 2 RB/ SXT’s
At my Office i try to make the STEP-by-STEP configuration from this site. But in the first Step after the connecting both with the router/switch i get an empty “Connect To:”-Window on clicking at the […]-Button.
If i put the MAC-address on the “Connect to:”-Field i get " Could not connect to {MAC-adr} (port Nr.) - timed out! "
-i have tried with firewall disabled completely some
-NIC ? what you mean exactly?
anyway i have interface via the Browser from both SXT’s and i have go STEP-by-STEP like that link but the STEP:

Client Configuration
You should already have WinBox open and connected to the client or “Right SXT”. (If you jumped ahead…the picture at the beginning shows an SXT on the left and one on the right.)
Now, without making any configuration changes, you should be able to see the AP when doing a scan. Lets go ahead an do that and use the connect button so that we’re sure the SSID’s match.
Double click on Wlan1 -OK
Click the Scan button on the right.
The AP should show up, -OK if it doesn’t something isn’t right…Assuming it does, click on the SSID shown in the list and click the Connect Button then Close -no Connect Button
}
is not possible because from the Web-interface there is no Connect-Button there! (for help on this point i’ll be very happy)
Another mysterious thing is that from my left hand SXT has on his behindwall only 1 LED lit and at the same time the other SXT on my right hand has all LED’s lit!!!
The left hand SXT should be the AP and has a Bridge Configuration.
The right hand SXT should be the client an has a station Bridge Configuration.
By velocity I think you mean speed? You can run a speed test from.
/tool bandwidth-test
It is always better to test through your connection instead of point to point.
If you are using NV2 use NV2 security and if you are not use WPA2 with AES security. You could also setup and access and connect list respectively on each router.
