WIFI 802.11n issue with MacBook

Hi @all

Ive the problem that my MacBook is not able to connect to my RB751G-2HnD via 802.11n WIFI. Its able to connect via 802.11g but throughput is limited to 20Mbps and I cant use my 50Mbps internet access with full speed.

The MacBook is able to connect to my regular router via 802.11n but this router has some issues with DHCP and DNS, that’s why I want to swap to the RB.

I have found the preamble issue in the Mikrotik FAQ but any change on the preamble settings in the RB will have no effect on the 802.11n problem.

Has anyone an idea what I could do?

Thanks in advance
Reik

try first - securityprofile = none (add a profile, with no parameters, just name=none) and see if this helps.

Thanks I will test it, bit earliest next weak because Im on a trip this weekend.

Cheers Reik

Start with this command in your router “/interface wireless reset”. This will set the wireless settings to defaults. Then make sure both chains are enabled, your distance is set to indoors, and the wireless mode is set to 802.11b/g/n
