Wifi Band problems with hAP lite 6.33.5

Hi

New to mikrotik, and so far so good - although I am experiencing problems with the wireless bands.

I have a sonos and a macbook 12 (broadcom) which are experiencing problems.

The sonos play 3 only has B/G support. If I select 2GHZ B/G/N The laptop experiences very poor connection speed but the sonos works ok, and if I select N - The laptop connection speed improves considerably but the sonos can’t do N so drops off.

If I select 2GHZ only G, laptop will never connect even after creating a new profile and selecting ‘long’ preamble on the hAP. Sonos works fine.

Where would I start in diagnosing this issue?
