Make sure all pre-reqs are covered.
IF you have working Internet at home with 2Mbps, this should work unless you do not meet minimum requirements.
tnx for your replay
calls working outside of mikrotik with any wifi but not on mikrotik. if this all need to set up i guess calls cant established with any network right ?
I can only tell you I can make Wifi-calls on a standard Mikrotik setup (both RB3011/RB5009) with just regular rules like 1 NAT-rule to go out etc.
My wireless is Unifi, not Mikrotik , so I can’t comment on a “Mikrotik Wireless” do’s or don’ts for Wifi-calling. (if they exist)
Never had to do anything “special” to make this work.
i am using unifi ap also
clients use IKEv2 to establish an ipsec connection with the provider. Make sure you don’t block 500/udp, 4500/udp and ESP protocol in forwarding chain.
No problems here with WiFi Calling using Unifi and Mikrotik wireless.
If you’re testing this on an iPhone you can force it to use Wifi Calling, by enabling it under Settings / Phone / WiFi Calling, then put the device in airplane mode and just enable wifi.
WiFi calling sometimes works very unreliable for me and doesn’t always activate even with poor signal reception.
